Come join naturalist, storyteller, and wildlife photographer Tom McBride for a lovely and life-giving day on a scenic Montana river. Floating rivers is an experience of the most uplifting sort. Under Tom’s expert guidance and tutelage, you will have the opportunity to see, understand, and connect with nature in a way that may be both new and – at a deep level – familiar to you.
While traveling the river wild you will talk about the environment, wildlife, vegetation, geologic formations, natural history, Native American lore and photography pointers.
Tom McBride, nationally-known wilderness photographer and naturalist, has had years of experience on similar educational trips. He believes that the wilderness is an essential part of the human environment that is not wholly understood, and thus undervalued by many. Using his insight into the relatedness of all things, Tom sees to create a day you will cherish. As a teacher, he enthusiastically shares his expertise in photographic technique and his knowledge of the natural world and animal behavior to bring you an outstanding experience.
